On the first day of the holiday weekend, we danced at the wedding of one of own happy odori girls, Erika.
The venue was really impressive!
I felt a little shy and embarrassed dancing in front of Erika while she was clad in such a gorgeous white wedding dress, but as the excitement built, I saw that she was joining in the dance. I was able to experience once again the mysterious quality Awa Odori has that unites everyone together.
We had new chochin lanterns, and several new formation dance parts, so getting to show them off for the first time at such a celebration was a very happy event.
